We are so busy during the day and at night that we have to find ways to unwind and get a little "me" time. What do you do?

There is nothing like kissing the kids good night, closing their bedroom doors and sitting in the living room in absolute silence. I generally unwind at the end of a long day with a good book or a good television show; preferably a show that lifts me up (like The Biggest Loser - yay Ali!!) and not something that makes me sad. A good book that I can't put down is always a great close to the end of the day.

But one of my new favorite things (since it's finally nice out) is to put the kids in the stroller and go for a nice walk. We talk about what we see, we play games, and it's just nice to get fresh air and exercise.

Run - most of the time I love being out on a run. Totally clear my mind - I am usually postive - sort of my time to go over all that I am thankful for and put out my well wishes for everyone. I struggle sometimes to get out the door to get on the run - but once there - it really is a calm and peaceful time.
The other jewelry design - just so theraputic.

Once I put my son to bed, I make myself some hot tea, and relax and unwind by either reading, watching my favorite TV program. Sometimes I put some soft music on and just listen to the music while drinking my tea. It feels GREAT to have the ME time :) -- other nights I will do my walk away the pounds tape and it keeps me focused on my weight loss goals while de-stressing!

Wow, do I relate to this. I'm taking walking back up and once I'm actually out the door, I'm fine... but it's the getting out the door that is the tough part!

Just keep it up! It does feel great to be out there enjoying something that is so good for you. :)

To unwind I love to go to ritzpix and create photo books of my children, vacations, and just pictures that I have taken over the years.

Walking is my way of unwinding. It's time to reflect, plan, and just enjoy the sun.

Read. Write. Sit and hum. Anything that let's my mind wander. I even like to window shop!

I run, too, but not at night. It's how I start my day, by doing something that is just for me. It's amazing how many ideas I get when running.

At the end of the day, my absolute favorite thing to do is snuggle with my daughter as we're tucking her into bed. We use that time as a nice, quiet time to relax and talk.

I used to dread my runs. I am training for a marathon and I'm not a natural runner so the first month was REALLY hard. But now I am enjoying the runs more for two reasons: 1. I feel better because I'm in better and better shape with each one; and 2. it is my along time. it's either that or I close myself in the bathroom with a book or the laptop and say I'm "pooping". I sit on the floor and NO ONE comes in. Tee!hee!

I sit and read some from one of the many magazines that sit in a basket next to my "comfy" chair... sometimes it's Bon Appetit, MORE, Oprah, Real Simple... just enough time to refocus myself to see/know that I still exist. The ultimate would be in the evening, accompanied by a nice glass of wine.... ahhhhhh

Sometimes I pretend I have to go to the bathroom, lock the door and sit on the floor with a trash magazine, a Diet Coke and a Snickers!
