I’ve had numerous service and product business ideas. But, after research, I learned that my ideas weren’t too original and there were always something similar already on the market. I never pursued the ideas because I wanted my business to be absolutely new and unique. Therefore, I gave up my business ambitions because I never found that truly unique idea.
What I failed to realize however, is that there’s no need to disregard a business concept or be discouraged because an idea already exists. Think about it: How unique is the concept of shampoo? Yet, there are thousands of brands available and many more companies being built around new shampoo concepts. Personally, I’ll try any shampoo if the brand appeals and communicates their points of difference. With this realization, I embarked upon my business journey with new perspective, released all inhibitions and am pursuing my entrepreneurial passion.
