What are Your Goals?

Many successful business owners will say the result of their success is having goals, both short term and long term.

I have read about moms who started their company just because it is a hobby they enjoy, creation out of boredom, or a need for a product they simply can find. It wasn't about the money, but the enjoyment of the hobby or the determination to fill a void by creating a new product to the marketplace.

Do you have goals for your business? If so, what are they?

For me, I simply want to offer my products in retail stores so that moms like myself can pick up a card that fits their unique family situation. So, that would be my long term goal. :-) For now, it is spending time meeting moms like you and learning from other business owners. Why make mistakes that others have learned from?

Hybrid Mom has proven to be a great community to share advice and learn from one another.

You have the best questions!! My business surrounds my passion for helping women live their best lives. A daily goal of mine is to inspire at least one woman to make a move toward living a life she can love. If I do that, I fee I have done my job. If I do that and happen to get paid for it...well, that speaks for itself. If I happen to inspire more than one woman and get paid for it... you get the picture :) One of my main goals for even being in business for myself is to have a flexible schedule that works with the needs of my family. In that respect, goals for your business can also be goals for yourself. Both are essential parts of success!

One of my goals has just been realized. This week I launched 16 ePlanners on my site! I already have 300 lists and planning pages available for membership, but I have been working diligently to prepare these ePlanners (which are basically instant, downloadable collections of the lists and pages on ListPlanIt.com). So now that that is done, my goal is now to begin promoting and spreading the word.

I also make weekly and monthly goals as well. You have to in order to get anything done! Otherwise, I would probably be spinning my wheels looking at email (which I AM a little obsessive about anyway).
