I am not a business owner (yet) and there are a ton of questions that I'm sure all of us have. Let's start with the basics.

What is your business / business idea?

I have a custom cake business, A Cake In Time, located in Suffolk County, Long Island. My business has been growing since I first launched in July, '08. I'm looking for someone local to help with the baking and cake design. Anyone out there know of a stay at home mom interested in baking?

Our company offers a Recession Proof Business. I know most people think there is no such thing, but doing these tough economic times our company, The Wellness Company is growing when most are not. We offer about 400 products one needs from the time you get out of bed til you go back to bed. These products are green, so they are without all the toxins we have heard so much about recently, meaning they are safer around small children as well as adults who are without knowledge of chemical reactions. As well as offering great products, families are also able to save about $600 a year over the cost of like products in the retail stores.

For those who want to generate income from home, we offer free mentoring and support. We are 24-years old having earned 20 humanitarian awards. Helping those who want to make a positive change in their lives is a goal we work towards daily offering physical wellness, environmental wellness, financial wellness and the one most forgotten, personal wellness.

Hi, I am the owner of a home staging and redesigning company, ReDesigned Interiors & Concepts, Inc. in Winter Park FL. I started this company knowing that I could not go back to a 9 to 5 job after my baby is born. I love real estate and the recent downturn in the market has forced some realtors to think of innovative ways to make some money while the market finds its way back. I enjoy helping sellers "see" their homes from the buyers perspectives. I give recommendations to sellers and their real estate agents based on my experiences and trends in the marketplace. I am also a property manager with a real estate company.

We also produce boutique product catalogues which are added to celebrity swag bags for red carpet and other events throughout the year. Additionally, we produce two large wholesale catalogues yearly, which offer mom-made and boutique products to retailers in the US and Canada. Finding your perfect business and niche really does take time. Don't worry if you don't 'get it right' the first time, or if it takes you much longer to narrow down your business path than you'd like. This is my third business in 10 years and I have found my calling and contentment ;-)
