I have been a stay at home mom now for almost 4 years and have 3 children below the age of 7. When my 2nd child was 1 I was so excited at the idea of staying home because now I was going to have so much time to do what I want to do.... Well now I struggle with precious time to do anything for myself, such as write. Does anyone else have this problem? If so how do you make peace with just having to write on a very limited basis until everyone is in school full time? I am the type pf woman that will not push my husband aside to do things for me so evenings never work since that's the only time I see him... Hmmm what to do?
Have you read the Artist's Way? There is a morning freewrite exercise that can help to open the creative floodgates more readily and easily, that way when you DO have time, you can make the most of it.
Another way to work around limited time is to carry around a tape recorder so when inspiration strikes while doing laundry, making lunch, waiting for school bells to ring, etc...you can keep the words coming out and save them for further exploration later. :)
