I'm a blogger and freelance writer, with a monthly beauty and style column featured in 4 parenting magazines. I want to expand on my writing experience!

Hi,
I currently write for a federal newspaper in my full time job, but it's not exactly fullfilling. I've been with the feds for 15 years, so I have a lot of time there and I'm only 33. Leaving the feds is not really an option right now. Although I'm always looking for a new position.

I recently took an online magazine writing course that really has piqued my interest in writing again. I realize for the first time that I can write about things I like -- not what my teachers and bosses want. And to top it off I can get paid doing it.

I already know that I don't take rejection very well and that it will probably stop me in my tracks. So I need to figure out how I will deal with that now. I'm glad to have found this site.

Hello! I'm a freelance journalist and mom to two boys. I've written for magazines, Web sites, newspapers, etc. for several years.

We've recently relocated and I'm trying to rebuild my professional network. I started writing a children's book, and am interested in more creative writing endeavors.

It has been challenging to write with an infant, and am working on letting things happen as they should....

Looking forward to learning from you all!

Hi All! This looks like fun! I'm starting slowly with my writing career. I'm collecting interviews about making time to write. If you have any suggestions, please drop me a line!

Hi Everyone I just joined the group last night. I am a Mom of 4 kids... Well 3 mine and then a stepdaughter that I have been actively helping to raise since she was 2... so she's mine as well.
I am so excited to find a group of women just like me!! I have been published once so far and would like to keep getting published. Somehow in this mix I would like to add the idea of getting paid! LOL If anyone has any suggestions on breaking in I would love to hear them!

Hello everyone, I just joined the group. I am not a seasoned writer but I am hoping to become one soon. I mostly write screenplays in the thriller genre and have been a finalist in some screenwriting competitons. Unfortunately after kid 1 and kid 2 I haven't been able to do much writing. I do have a children's book/animation movie that I am itching to write so I may try that but having the time to write is well rare. I did start my blog www.lalababy.com to try and keep the creative juices flowing. Hopefully we can encourage each other to find time to write. I know I need it.
