I'm a 30-something wife and mom from Atlanta, Georgia. I have a distinct inability to say no to chocolate, a certain love of cats and dogs, a goofy and irreverent sense of humor, an awe of the deeply spiritual (as opposed to the scarily religious), and if Gerard Butler ever shows up at my door with wine, roses, and a one-way ticket to Fiji? Don't listen to what all the other mothers tell you. Unless what they're telling you is what you already agree with.
What makes you hybrid?
I wear many different hats: I'm a teacher. I'm a writer. I'm a reader. I'm a new mommy but an old wife. I'm a Generation Xer. I'm an Obama fan. I'm a lover of Literature, but also a voracious trashy celebrity gossip magazine voyeur. I'm a professional avoider: cleaning, exercise, confrontations, and balancing my bank account--I can always find something else to do. And yet I can always find time to read, write, or play with my child, how about that? I'm incredibly inpatient, but a meandering hiker. I'm a beach AND a mountain lover. I'm a dreamer but in a pragmatic kind of way.
If I were a hybrid car, I'd run on chocolate martinis and strawberry milkshakes.
