Bettany,

Thanks for the note. How's the book going? Mine was just released April 1 and I'm swamped. I had no idea it was going to be so much work. I'm beat.

Here's my thought on the house....finde the one thing that makes it look put together. For me it's the kitchen and the candles lit. our home literally transforms. Regardless of laundy or vacuuming!

That's my only child, Darling Daughter, in the pink tube - doesn't she make it look easy? If it was me, my large heiney would be dragging down, and feet and arms would shoot straight up. Not particularly attractive!

About Me:
What more can I say? I'm a woman, wife, mother, writer, and lover. All in one!
From one mom to another, my words of wisdom are:
Take it a day at a time.
What makes you hybrid?
What doesn't make me hybrid? I spend my time stuck between myself (which is a 32 yr old woman), a husband (34), and two kids (a 5yr old son and 6 month old daughter). Oh and I try to work a day job, write novels in-between diaper changes and napt imes, and keep my house together. Or at least not falling apart

Contest, contest, contest...

So, I'm thinking.... would you comment on a story to get yourself named a character in the plot? Or is this a writer/author thing? Because for me, if I suddenly was given the opportunity to become part of the story (the local grocery store clerk, the mail lady, or the mom upstairs)--I'd jump at it. I'd want to see who *I* would become on paper. And if I played a pivotal role in any plot lines.

Is it just me?

Lemme know.. because, well, we need readers. And I want interested readers! Give me co… Continue

The Art of Writing

Usually, I'm alone in my room typing my books. Well, not always alone. A kid usually wanders in. Or my husband is snoring lightly behind me. See, I write at night. When my house is finally quiet. Or more accurately, when I don't have someone begging for my attention. It's the only time I can be alone with my thoughts and type for more than 15 minutes at a time. Call it a process, or a way of life--either way, it's the way I can keep my output... well, coming out onto the computer screen.

LIFE AS GRETA has begun!

So, it's official... I've started my serial fiction story for Hybridmom.com: LIFE AS GRETA!

I'm so excited! As a writer, having your work read by others is an extreme high. And nervous anxiety that almost makes you want to crawl under a desk in the fetal position. The emotions are total opposites, but so true, that, well I'm conflicted right now about making an announcement about this publication to a few writing and women's groups I am… Continue
