- About Me:
- A single parent to two boys that are now in MiddleSchool years and in the midst of puberty. The difference in my household is that they are both on the autism spectrum, but on opposite ends.
I homeschool my 13 year old son as it is the safest option at this point in time. My 12 year old now has a wonderful male aide and is going to be riding the bus to school in the fall for the very first time.
I am the home health care worker for him and run a yahoo group for parents and professionals to share picture cards.
I am hoping one day to start a meetup group in my area to reach more families and offer assitance, tips and guidance from one who has been there.
- From one mom to another, my words of wisdom are:
- Be prepared for anything in life and start each day more positive than the previous day. It is all uphill and no looking back.
