I guess my feeling is that if she is living with her parents and depending on them for a roof over her head and food for her kids, she's being completely irresponsible.
Where in tar did she get the funds for the fertility treatments anyway? I was...
I am a mother to 3 wonderfully boisterous boys: A 14-year-old who was born on the Fourth of July and 8-year-old identical twin boys. Wife to a great husband who has the ability to just smile when I get some insane idea.
I am an avid reader who will literally read anything and everything. I love to scrapbook, take photos, make photo cards, and give photo calendars to all my family. I volunteer at the schools to help children with, what else, reading.
I have been a SAHM since the birth of the twins, but late last year I finally took the first steps to fulfilling my dream of becoming a freelance writer.
From one mom to another, my words of wisdom are:
Oh, there are many words of wisdoms to share, but I will go with, "Just remember to laugh." Laughter can get you through pretty much anything in life. Say for instance your 18-month old twins manage to wrangle over a baby gate into the kitchen and back over to the dining room with a container of mustard and another container of cooking oil and poor them both out under the dining room table, which just so happens to sit atop a cream colored carpet, all while you are folding and putting away one load of laundry. Yep, when you can't call in the Coast Guard to help clean an oil spill that would rival the Exxon-Valdez disaster, all you can do is laugh...okay, maybe the laughter followed some tears and may have sounded kind of psychotic, but at least you laughed.
What makes you hybrid?
The typical, the ability to work with children running in and out with castrophies following on their heels, ticking off errands while squeezing in some writing at stoplights, sidestepping people who want you to volunteer more at the school because "You can write anytime, you're a Stay-at-Home-Mom," and finally, toward the end of the day, being able to sit down and breathe for just a few moments before sleep takes over.
Thanks for reading and the lovely encouragement. Today was a tough one for me as well. Even though I was with my little one every moment of the day, somehow he managed to fill up on some type of caffeinated or energy drink. How else can I explain the lack of a nap and the fact that he was content to wreak havoc all day long.
