Ragu is keeping me up at night

Over at my other blogSpoonfed, I'm musing about genetically modified foods.

Specifically, about those things in my cupboards and freezer made with corn oil, or canola oil, or soy products. Dr. Oz (who everyone knows is the most trustworthy Doctor on the planet) had a guest on his XM radio show talking about genetically modified crops in the US, and how 90% of our packaged foods are made with genetically modified corn, canola or soy.

Hi Liz, Thx for your comments. I lived in CO for a stint...on Lowry AFB...when I was 11-13 y.o. Funny...we had a choice when we left S. California a couple years back...Phoenix or Denver. We picked Denver, but during these summer months I wish we'd opted for Denver. :)

True...I'm not exactly thrilled with convenience foods myself, and I try to avoid them as much as I can; but, there are those times when I just don't have time for anything more involved than opening a can of Chef Boyardee. You're right, though--consumers do need to start making demands of food companies to get the quality foods that we deserve to have to feed our kids.
