- About Me:
- I am a 36 yr old first time mom and loving every minute of it! I've worked/commuted full time from LI to NYC my entire career as a videotape editor at CBS News. Since the birth of my son Luke last June I quit my staff job and now I freelance there two days a week. Three years ago I started a production company which I run out of my studio at home.

So nice to log on and see your greeting~So you're married to an editor-we're a special breed-I'm sure he's worked through the night more than once too! My husband is a police officer in Manhattan and works the midnight shift so he walks in the door around 9:30 am and is able to get Luke up and spend time while I sleep in. On the days I work at Cbs, I get up, get ready and I'm on the train an hour later. I know that will all have to change when he gets older and school starts but it works for now! I edit everyting under the sun. I've created videos for political fundraisers, charity dinner events, commercials, scrapbooks for kids' 1st birthdays, anniversary celebrations, promo/advertising reels, resumes, tv shows, etc...
Just read your comments in the Mom Business Owners section. What you said about working thru the night(s) reminds me of one of my brothers and my husband. My brother is an editor in Chicago (works for Harpo/Oprah), and my husband owns a production/post-production biz here in Denver (he's an editor as well).
