- About Me:
- I'm a writer mother. I have four children-ages, 2, 9, 11, and 12. I am currently at work on my first novel and struggling to find the time to write in a busy household. I'm also an avid knitter, runner and reader. I'm trying to live a more environmentally conscious lifestyle and in doing so, I've discovered my inner craftswoman and farmer.
- From one mom to another, my words of wisdom are:
- There is no perfect. Knowing this simple fact can reduce a lot of stress and tension. I'm constantly learning to live by my own mileposts and not one pre-set by others.
- What makes you hybrid?
- I love being a mother but being a mother is not my only identity. There are many aspects to me that I'm not afraid to celebrate and these need to be nurtured as much as my children.

Wondering Why
Why is it so hard to do the things that are good for you?
I know I should be in bed so that I can get up early in the morning and write but instead I'm watching a movie and checking out blogs. I guess it could be worse. I could be watching a movie and checking out blogs with a big bowl of Breyer's triple chocolate ice cream.
Tomorrow when my alarm goes off around 5am, I'm hoping this will be the morning I kick my legs from under the covers and get up, shake the dust from my eyes and write befo… Continue

I can understand the writer mom trials and how thrilling it is when we are able to finish a complete thought without interruptions..oh what a joy. Just last night, my oldest had a school activity and I took that hour and a half to sit in the Starbucks inside the Fred Meyer and get some thoughts out, completely uninterrupted, What a joy that was! Today, sadly, is not going as well.
