Nice to meet you, Angelice! Thanks for reading my post. It actually has been working--I can't believe it! I find myself sneaking veggie purees into all of the foods my kids normally eat. My husband will ask me what I'm grinning about (because I normally get so frustrated at dinner), and I'll whisper "There are carrots in the spaghetti sauce!" or "Cauliflower in the macaroni and cheese!" It's been fun experimenting with everything, but I still wonder if my kids will ever eat what my husband and I eat every night. I'm taking the kids on a mini-vacay today and will be on a mountaintop with no cell phones or internet service, but I look forward to getting to know you better when I get back! Have a great weekend!
Your recent blog "Food Fight" caught my eye. I have almost 3 year old twin boys and an 18 month old daughter. I work full-time and own/manage my business, so needless to say time is short. My husband helps a great deal and we come upon those nights when someone doesn't want to eat what we have cooked. I try to remember a quote from Kate Gosselin, "I am not a short order cook", going one night with out dinner will not harm our children just our feelings. :-) It is so hard to do what may be the right thing for our kids. I guess there can't always be an upside to parenting, can there.
I would love to get to know you better...

Suzi. Just wanted to say hello. Very cool that you were able to switch careers to become a wahm. I am still trying to get my business going so I can do the same.
I hear you! My business has been picking up lately, so I can't complain--but I'm far from the salary I used to bring in--give me a couple of years! So, you're in Northern Az? I went to school at Arizona State. Spent some time at NAU for Phoenix Suns pre-season games/scrimmages. Dan Majerle (about 20 years ago so I don't know if you would know of him, but he was a honey!) actually fell in my lap one time---one of the highlights of my college life.
I am a WAHM and have three children, ages 2, 4 and 6. Journalism and writing is in my blood; however, when I left my job as Public Information Officer for a municipal government, I took up my lost love of sewing and embroidery and now have a successful embroidery business and website http://www.SuziHomemaker.net.
