Im so tired and so stressed today! Wow, what a difference one day can do. Yesterday was a pretty peaceful kind of day, it went fairly smooth and quit nice. It seems like everything has just hit me all at once today! My 5 year old decided he was going to wake up at 5am and wouldnt go back to sleep. Of course, he had to wake up crabby too. So, on top of fighting with him all morning, my car was parked in back of my husbands so I had to go move mine for him to go to work......sounds simple right? Well...for some reason my cars alarm was stuck and wouldnt let me start the car. My car alarm kills the engine when it goes off! Now, what do I do about that!!?? My husband did manage to get out of the driveway but I still have no car today! Which means all of the errands I had to do will now not get done!! Oh yes, next.....I received a letter from the gas company saying that they have been doing estimate readings all year and FINALLY came out and did a manual reading....and guess what!? Because their readings have been to low all year, I now owe them $1500.00. Which since I am not working right now, we dont have! Oh yeah....now that we are mentioning me working....I just graduated from college about 3 weeks ago, which I though would mean so many more job oppurtunites, I was so excited! I have now received "no thank you" letters from 3 different places this week. Not to mention the interview I went on last week that called and nicely told me they hired someone else! Im just so stressed and upset today! How am I suppose to cope sanely with everything? Its hard!

Ruby, you poor thing! I am so proud of you for having the courage to reach out for some support from your fellow Hybrid Moms! I cannot tell you how many times I have had days like this!! At least once a month! Just call me "Mrs. Murphy". One of my favorite sayings is "It's alright to sit on your pity pot for a while as long as you flush when you get up." You are definitely entitled to sit on yours! On the bright side, you have so much to be thankful for... a son...a husband who works... a college degree (woo-hoo!)...when the dust settles and you shake this off (or flush it)...it may even be funny...one of those "remember the time when..." stories, right? Okay, you may need the aid of an alcoholic beverage for it to be funny. I agree with Mary and HM...breathe...this too shall pass! Smooches!

Hey Ruby... take a deep breath. Yours sounds like a day I had a few weeks ago. But my car was 'stuck' inside the garage with a 450lb door that wouldn't open. Sure it was 'just' the spring that broke... but by the next day we learned that it could not be fixed & a new door was in our future. I got freaked for a little while, then realized that within another couple weeks (or so), it would be history and not worth fretting. I'm betting the gas company would be willing to work out a plan of payment. So, get yourself a cup of tea (or a glass of wine), ground yourself (feet firmly on the ground) and say "I'm grounded and focused... I'm grounded and focused..." out loud while breathing deeply and slowly. Tomorrow is another day and will present itself differently if you allow it. Congratulations on your college graduation!!

This will pass and you will be offered a job in no time. Just keep your head up and think very positive thoughts. Breathe. You will get through this.
