So sorry about your boy, but glad that he's starting to feel better. It's a great relief to see them happy and laughing, doing their usual wiggling again, after an illness.
The end-of-day cuddling is with both parents and the cat (although nobody invited her - she's kind of evil: a biter). We let her in until she gets ugly. Yesterday, my girl read the last chapter of her book to me (Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of NIMH). Cute! Have a nice day today!!!!
Hi Stacey! I'm much better today. Yesterday was a difficult day. I'll put a note on my blog later and you can see what I mean. I'm still processing everything, but I am feeling happy today. I hope you are, too! What's the best thing that happened to you in the last few days? For me, it was Emily (my 9-year-old) mentioning that she wants to cuddle and talk about our days when we get home. We started that Monday night, and it's delightful. It keeps me centered on what really matters in my life! - Cheers, Eileen
SO nice to meet you. It takes me awhile to navigate the mom blog sites because they are all JUST so slightly different that I get confused. Which half did you do? Do you know which whole marathon? I am aiming for the PF Chang in Phoenix in January! (That is if I still have shins left - we'll see if I am better after my new shoe order arrives from Zappos - AMAZING policies on returns!!!
I'm still learning about how to do this comment thing. Left a comment back to you on my page. Ha - ha!
Here it is:
Great list, Stacey! I like the idea of balance - not the wishy-washy kind, but where there's a tension between honesty and kindness, and kindness wins out.
A great sense of humor is vital! Finding fun in most situations (where noone is being harmed) is an important trait. Empathy for me is probably your "understanding". And I can pick up others' feelings easily, so negativity gets me down, as well. I like people who are curious about the world, not afraid to learn new things, and are open to the possibilities.
As I write this, I hope it comes across the way I intend. I have a lot of interests, yet I'm fairly conservative - I can't see ever parachuting or cliff-diving, doing things harmful to my body, mind or soul - but that still leaves a heckuva lot of room for investigating! Delete Comment
Hey Stacey, if you get a minute, let me know what you're looking for in a friend. I will think on this as well. Before I was married, I made a list of what I wanted in a spouse - I was at the place where I was okay with remaining single for life, but open to marriage with the right person. I got just about everything I listed. Maybe it would work with friends?
Hi, Stacey! Thanks for your comment on my profile. I loved the fact that you live with chaos and handle it so gracefully! I am a structure-lover, although I have learned to deal with change through many geographical moves, career changes, etc. Chaos offers some gifts, but it can be hard for me to see them, at times.
Thanks!! That layout was kind of tough. I have sooooo many pictures (the curse / blessing of being a professional photographer's daughter) and I wanted to get a lot on one page. I was very happy with the results! Besides your blog, do you have any examples of your work?
I have some of my layouts on my WebShots page: http://community.webshots.com/user/amcmoore
Feel free to check them out. I'm planning on redoing a lot of my photography soon and update my crafting blog. I've been a bit overloading in other things, so I really need to get back on the ball!
I'm also a huge scrapbooker. I used to sell stuff for Stampin' Up! and do parties and workshops for my customers. I loved it. I learned new stuff all the time. We just moved, and my craft room is horribly unorganized so I haven't been able to do too much lately. Hopefully soon I'll be back in the swing of that.

How do you ladies feel about Susan Boyle? I find her to be such an inspiration... Are any of you going to watch the TV Guide Network's documentary that's airing on the 13th? I saw the sneak peek for it today and can’t wait.
