Sorry all of a sudden my acct stopped notifying me that I had comments on my page. But yes, I've found card sparingly at Target and some of the other stores. Just rarely. My Mom has found a few at Hallmark.

Angelice,

Thanks for the compliment. I'll be checking out your website. I do a newsletter once a month for my new moms. If you send be a jpeg for your business I will feature it in a newletter. Perhaps we could do a mini interview through email? Your business is a great idea!

Best,

Claudine

I sent you a message on CM...no worries :) The cartridges are the wrong ones and I'm waiting to get them replaced. I am sending you some samples of the hand-decorated cookies later on this week, just no printing yet. Anyways, check my note and tell me what you think. Thanks for checking in :) Have a wonderful day!

I'm sorry that it took so long to respond to your comment. I guess I chose not to receive email notification of new comments:) Um, I'm looking to start my own business selling my custom jewelry. It's something I've been doing for a while, I love it, and I would like to share it with others.

Hi Angelice, Thanks for the comment!

You've done a great job on your web site! It's fascinating to learn so much about it all, isn't it? That's what keeps me going with it... always a new technology or technique, etc. LOL. Let me know if you ever need any help with your site, I'd love to help you out! :)

Thanks for the add. :-D I love your greeting idea. It looks like you have a great start! I would love to hear about how you got your website up and running. I'm looking into creating a couple sites myself for various things, personal and business. My husband is in the Navy and we're pretty sure we're headed to Italy, so I'd like to get a site up for our family as well as a travel site after spending some time living there. Any recommendations, advice of lessons learned etc...

I will contact the Blogsite you mentioned and pursue those opportunities. Learning from other moms understanding all the complexities is hugely helpful!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I would love to get to the buyers of the big box stores. I think that this is an ideal product for them. One of my goals in creating the nomie baby car seat cover was to make it reasonably priced so that it could become a baby basic rather than a luxury.

As for getting reviewed on sites, if you have suggestions of sites, I would love to hear them, because I am sure that I am not hitting them all myself.

BTW, I am twin. It's wonderful

Take care, and thank you for responding,
Katie

Hey Gemini,

Thanks for your note on our page.

I think you've got a good idea with your business and am happy respond to your questions about getting started. As you noted, we started off with a product that was targeted to a very specific audience, Jewish baby gifts. As a niche product, we knew that we wouldn't succeed by going after big chain stores, and that was ok. The trick is to find a way to reach your niche, and IGNORE everyone else.

Technology allows us to find niche markets today like never before, even if they're spread out across the country and across the world.

Internet sales will be very important to you, and for those, you'll need traffic. Pour plenty of your time into Search Engine Optimization. Think about search engine advertising and affiliate programs, but be careful. take small steps and measure the effectiveness of everything, or else you'll waste alot of money in a hurry.

Offline, don't just think of stores. Think about twins conventions, twins support groups, and twin publications. The market is out there...just don't make the mistake of trying to market to everyone!

Have you read The Long Tail? Great book on finding success in niches. It actually started off as a lengthy article in Wired magazine. Even if you don't read the book, read the article. It'll change the way you think about your business.

And finally, I challenge you to create truly remarkable cards. The idea of cards for twins and multiples is a good one and satisfy a need, but just make sure that the products are great, engaging, awesome looking greeting cards, regardless of their target market.

Go getem and let me know what else I can do to help.
